POSITION PURPOSE:
Provide leadership in the design, development, optimization and operation of manufacturing and supporting processes.

SCOPE:
Incumbent typically reports to the Product System Team Leader and receives direction in the form of general project objectives. Assignments may vary from individual contribution to team leadership. Responsibilities include project results, project control and effective use of human resources. Incumbent is a recognized leader in at least one area of technology, possesses high standards of professional performance, and demonstrates both personal and organizational sensitivity.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university and 3 years experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments. Candidates with a Bachelor or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline and possessing applicable experience may also be considered.
2) Experience with manufacturing control systems, such as: Allen Bradley PLCs, Rockwell Automation, variable speed motor drives, servos, HMI (Human Machine Interfaces – Wonderware and/or Allen Bradley), sensors, automated inspection systems, Vision inspection systems and Networks.
3) Experience with Kimberly-Clark manufacturing and converting processes and equipment.
4) A demonstrated ability to work independently or to lead a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
5) Experience working with external technical service suppliers.
6) Strong knowledge and background in K-C Converting technology understanding and development with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in major capital projects.
7) Experience and expertise with Kimberly-Clark engineering procedures and processes.
8)Continuing self-development.
9)Experience in a variety of mill and staff assignments preferred.
10)Demonstrated leadership in achieving results preferred.

DIMENSIONS:
Vary widely with assignment and typically include:
• Project responsibility of $1 MM to $10 MM
• Project team of three to fifteen people
• Single or multiple projects.

1. Design and Development: Provide leadership in the initiation, design, development and optimization of manufacturing and supporting processes to achieve unit objectives.

2. Technical Knowledge: Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized for expertise and leadership in application of engineering principles and/or scientific analysis. Provide advice and counsel sought by others.

3. Safety: Carry out job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance and other personnel.

4. Security and Documentation: Provide leadership in security and documentation to ensure the retrieval of data and protection of proprietary information.

5. Problem Solving: Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/opportunities to achieve unit objectives.

6. Internal Control: Lead assigned projects/tasks to meet unit objectives within applicable Corporate policies. Place emphasis on CFI and Internal Control.

7. Communications: Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates and others who have need to know. Be informative without being obtrusive or vexatious. Communicate in a way that is timely, yet prompt; complete, yet concise; candid, yet accurate; and clear, yet responsive.

8. Human Resources Development: Assist in the development of others in the area of incumbent’s expertise, while demonstrating an understanding of those with a diverse background or experience.

9. Organizational Effectiveness: Perform job responsibilities in support of the team concept and culture at Jenks.

10. QMP: Provide direction and participative leadership in the practical application of the Quality Management Process in all assignments and responsibilities.
